We have lots of new things coming up in the new year. Collaborations with some great makers. New models. Very exciting!

• New model ALERT. The Cruze XL. I had some requests for a larger Cruze model so I built it. These are the first knives I have made with Elmax blade steel. Very impressive blade steel.

• New Pivot Design. Curtiss Knives S.P.O.T. pivot. That stands for Stop Pin - Over Travel. They serve several purposes. First, the large diameter of the head provides lock bar stabilization preventing over travel and up and down movement. Second, the stop pin locks into a pocket on the bottom of the pivot heat. This locks the pin in place and also prevents the pivot from rotating. The pivots will be featured in a new lineup of knives that will come out soon and will also be retro-fitted into most of the designs I currently do. Here are some pics.

New Ceramic IKBS Bearing System. I have been a user of the IKBS bearing system since I started making knives. I recently started using Grade 5 Ceramic balls instead of the standard hardened stainless steel. The difference is amazing! Yes, they are expensive, but they are worth every penny!

New Models coming soon. I recently redesigned my F³ Series. The new line-up will include 4 models. A fixed blade, a large flipper, a medium flipper and a compact flipper. All knives will get the S.P.O.T. pivot along with the Ceramic IKBS Bearing System. There will be a variety of finishes available. The F³ Series is geared toward EDC use. They will be offered individually and in sets. Here is some cad art of the design.
